Artists in Schools

I am grateful to have been able to share what I love doing, with 3 classes of 30 children this week.

We created our own versions of Escher's Metamorphosis, Zen doodled bunting, created clay tiles and portraits and fantasy caricatures in the style of Paul Kidby... all at 100 mph. Oh and a bottle top mural too.

Going back to school, I learnt that I love the music of Iceland's Sigur Ros, especially Hoppipopolla. Thank you Miss Hare for sharing.

I learnt that I love being my own boss and the importance of specialists going into schools to teach what they love.

A lot of skills were learnt at a fast pace and a lot of excitement and pride in what had been created.
